Membership is a commitment to the mission and goals of the church, a willingness to give of one’s time, treasure and talent to strengthen and support the church as a whole. Membership means belonging to a family of loving and caring people who are there for each other in good times and bad. We laugh together, pray together, play together, and cry together. There is solidarity at Unity of Kanawha Valley. We don’t all think alike, nor do we all have the same opinions. We have, however, agreed to grow together in love and acceptance, to walk the spiritual path arm in arm so as to strengthen and encourage.
Membership also gives ownership in the church and the direction it takes. Being a member provides a safe place where a deeper connection to God, to ourselves, and to others takes place.The genuine heart-felt love, connection and acceptance flows within all of us as we share our spiritual journey together.
